Local Art Show at the Co-op
The Moscow Food Co-op welcomes artist Jim Miley of Moscow, Idaho who will display his work in the Co-op’s deli gallery. Miley is one of the Co-op’s own employees! When he’s not creating art, he bakes bread in the Co-op bakery. The opening reception is from 5-6:30 p.m. on Friday, January 11. The show will run through Wednesday, February 6. Jim’s artistic passion is landscapes and he dabbles in photography. His latest interest is cloud formations at sunset. Mamas + Papas of the Palouse
Learn how to care for yourself after delivering a baby with Lauren Jentges, a physical therapist at Gritman from 9:30-11:00 a.m., Monday, January 3 at the Uma Center (414 South Jefferson Street) in Moscow. The Mamas + Papas of the Palouse is group for expecting parents and parents with kids up to 2 years old. Meet for conversation and informal talks by experienced parents and experts. Children and their caregivers are welcome for the following Co-op Kids activities. Co-op Kids meets weekly and all events are all free, with snacks and materials donated by the Moscow Food Co-op. Co-op Kids is held every Tuesday from 9-10 a.m. at the Moscow Food Co-op deli seating area unless otherwise noted.
• January 1: No Co-op Kids.
• January 8: Rubbing Art. Discover hidden shapes or make cards for family and friends.
• January 15: Tea Party. Try some kid-friendly herbal teas and vote on your favorite!
• January 22: Sing Along with Heather.
• January 29: Thumbprint Art and Produce Tasting with Logan.

Good Food Book Club
The Co-op’s Good Food Book Club will meet from 4-5:30 p.m., Sunday, January 27 at a private residence (email email@example.com for directions) to discuss “The Comfort Food Diaries: My Quest for the Perfect Dish to Mend a Broken Heart” by Emily Nunn. The book is available at BookPeople where Co-op owners receive 15 percent discount on the cost of the Good Food Book Club book.
