Graduates earn 2,448 degrees, certificates from the University of Idaho


About 12.2 percent of the 2,448 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Idaho in 2017-18 were to students in engineering programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Moscow conferred 204 bachelor's degrees and 77 master's degrees in engineering programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general psychology. Data shows the school gave out 115 bachelor's degrees in general psychology, followed by 97 doctor's degrees in law and 75 bachelor's degrees in mechanical engineering.

The university enrolled 12,072 students for 2017-18, including 9,885 in undergraduate programs and 2,187 in graduate programs.
