Michael L. Tipsord Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer | State Farm, IL

State Farm has expressed deep concern for those affected by the recent severe weather events, including tornadoes in multiple states and hail storms in Texas. A spokesperson for State Farm stated, "Our hearts go out to the communities and families of all those who have been tragically affected by the recent severe weather." The company's primary focus is on ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals in the impacted areas.

In response to the natural disasters, State Farm has mobilized its catastrophe claim response team members to assist customers. They have also made local State Farm agents available to help customers with their claims. Emphasizing the importance of customer care, the spokesperson mentioned, "Our priority is taking care of our customers' needs as quickly as possible as we begin the recovery process."

As of April 30, 2024, approximately 5,500 home and auto claims have been reported across nine states affected by the storms. State Farm has deployed catastrophe claims adjusters and support members to provide on-site assistance. The company is actively making contact with impacted customers, focusing on those with the most severe losses.

To streamline the claim reporting process, State Farm has activated the 1-800-SFCLAIM line for customers who are unable to reach their local agents. Policyholders with damages are encouraged to submit and manage their claims through various channels, including the mobile app, website, or by texting "CLAIM" to receive a claim filing link.

Furthermore, State Farm is urging individuals with repairable property damage to make reasonable temporary repairs to prevent further damage. Depending on coverage, these repair costs may be reimbursed, and customers are advised to save receipts for any materials purchased for repairs.

State Farm's efforts in mobilizing their catastrophe response aim to provide efficient and effective support to their customers during this challenging time.
